Scarborough: Adam Giles
From the first day of class at NTI, Adam has been a diligent student, driven to learn and he’s put in the extra effort needed to earn his IT certifications. He contributes to the class, freely sharing his knowledge with the group, and always willing to help out on extra IT projects. His excellent time management skills help him to be productive even when life and other good times throw him curves. Adam has also worked with NTI’s Career Development office to obtain an IT position at Maine Medical Center. While Adam doesn’t graduate until the fall, he continues to work hard in class, and at his new position with Maine Med.
Congratulations, Adam for this well deserved honor!
Angel Bailey has been chosen as April’s Student of the Month! Nominated by her Clinical Instructor, Angel was described as hard working, dedicated, punctual, and extremely pleasant in class. Though quite nervous at the beginning of clinical, Angel worked through her fears, and quickly became the student who would be the first to try a new skill. Angel has maintained a stellar GPA throughout her Medical Assisting program, all while working full time and raising a family. Angel is completing her remaining classes, and will be graduating soon, and looking for a full time job as a Medical Assistant.
Bangor: Harold Pierpont
“Excellent” is the word that Harold’s instructors use to describe his workmanship and written exercises in the NTI HVAC/R program. Since joining the Bangor Campus last November, he has put noticeable and consistent hard work into his classwork and exams. He understands the rules and guidelines that are placed for his success and safety and never veers of the path towards his goal. Now soon to be an NTI HVAC/R graduate, we are very proud to award Harold Pierpont with May 2017’s Student of the Month award – Congratulations Harold!
Scarborough: Sam Kabund Kaking
It is our honor to name Manufacturing Technician student Sam Kabund Kaking as May Student of the Month. From our first meeting with Sam at the Portland Career Center prior to enrollment, Sam proclaimed his intense desire for job worthy skills training. During his manufacturing training, Sam has demonstrated that he is a critical thinker and currently, after completing over two thirds of the curriculum, carries the highest-grade point average in the class. Sam’s attire is impeccable and his attendance is exemplary. When working through challenging assignments, Sam is always the first to complete his exams and shows respect for his fellow class mates with a head down commitment to the next assignment. Staff and students agree – Sam is an outstanding representative of NTI and its Manufacturing Technician program! Well done, Sam! It’s a joy to see you excel in the manufacturing field.
